I thought I would write a short definition regarding the blog. My aim is to promote discussion about building and the wider scope branching out from there as to the effect on individual’s lives. I have not been able to separate the occupation I have been in from people I have met along the way. It has given me a chance to meet the best and worst of people in a variety of circumstances. I have always been fed up with the perception of people towards builders in general and often they have shown an ignorant view of the characters and skills they have.
I would like everyone to contribute to this blog whether inside the industry or out or maybe on the outskirts as a supporting profession. The one thing most of us have in common is that we are all affected by it. We nearly all live in houses, at some point we will own, rent, maintain, have work carried out or do work ourselves. With this in mind we cannot avoid the industry and we can create a voice within it. Customers/clients can get so much more from their builder when they know how. Builders can get more from the client when they know how.
